Honoring Ramadan Community Guest Speakers at IHW
Last Monday's dinner included those interested guests still in town!
Our honorable Consul General Suzan Yasin and her husband in addition to a number of community personalities made the dinner more dynamic!
Sayyed Hatam al-Shokr and imam Elahi spoke during the dinner about the necessity of unity and cooperation in the community.
Imam Elahi called the Eid if Fitr a festival of faith and forgiveness, friendship and reconciliation!
Referring to the Eid prayer that calling the Creator the Lord of both power and pardoning and mercy, imam asked all the scholars in the town to show the humbleness we have been asking our people during the Month.
Reading a Hadith from the holy prophet considering the Muslim scholars the carriers of the prophets legacies including education, providing the light of guidance, standing for freedom and justice, imam explained how vitally these services are needed in this dark, oppressive and disappointing world!
Imam Elahi talked about immorality of separating the kids from immigrant parents at the US borders but mentioned something even worse is the crime of Alkhalifa regime in Bahrain that deporting the citizens of that island and revoking their nationality despite of being born and raised in Bahrain.
The imam also condemned the war crimes of Saudi kingdom in Yemen during the Eid’s days.
Imam Elahi called all lovers of freedom and democracy to attend the march starting from Saudi embassy in Washington DC, demanding the Saudi monarchy to let the reconstruction of the shrines of the prophet family in Baqi in Medina. The shrines were destroyed by the Wahhabi agents of Saudi regime last century! Something the Wahhabi forces continue to do in other holy places in the Middle East today!
