Contemporary Islamic Minbar Discourse at Islamic Institute of Knowledge in Dearborn!
It was a very nice initiative by sheikh Baqer Berri and Imams Council to meet at the Islamic Institute of Knowledge and discuss how Islamic message should be shared between Muslims and even non-Muslims in America.
Br. Dawud Walid, Dr. Ali Lila and Shaikh Baker and Imam Elahi were 4 the panelists of the event. Dr. Fras Hamadeh the moderator.
Imam Elahi reflected on the mission of the prophets, quoting Imam Ali describing the goal of the prophets to revolutionize human reason through heavenly guidance, light of revelation and education.
The prophets came to make communications between the people and the creator and to establish justice, peace, morality and unity among people.
The prophets recognized the problems and needs of their avoidance spoke the language of their people and made extraordinary sacrifice to fulfill their Devine duties.
Imam Elahi considered the opportunity of the Menbar as a great platform and opportunity for dawa work which should follow the patterns of the prophets. He called the social network and technology a blessing for spreading the message of the menbar. Interfaith is another channel of communication and opportunity to fight the disease of Islamophobia.
