Today, Eid prayer at IHW! 7/20/21

Following the prayer imam Elahi delivered two Eid sermons in Arabic and English.

Imam called Eid of Adha not sacrifice of a lamb, but sacrifice of love.

Eid is an opportunity to sacrifice all we can from time, talent, treasure, comfort, and pleasure for the sake of our family, community and humanity.

Imam focused on the role of prayer during this testing time when billions of people of this planet are suffering from the pain caused by pandemic , poverty and prejudice.

Mentioning the sermon of prophet Mohammed on his farewell message in Arafat, the Imam spoke about the violation of human life, intellect, integrity, faith and property.

Referring to the Israeli NSO company that has been used it’s spyware technology to hack smartphones of journalists and human rights activists, imam called for accountability on such a disgraceful abuse of technology and crime against human rights and dignity in the world.

Israeli greedy company has sold the system to the dictators in Saudi Arabia, UAE and other tyrannies to arrest, jail and even killing the freedom fighters in their own countries.

It’s shame to claim democracy but commit crimes against democracy. These are crimes not only against humanity but also against the great religion of Judaism, the journey started by Moses against the Pharaohs of his time, struggling for freedom and justice.

This is the moral duty of the Jewish community to push for accountability of corrupt Israeli companies and the corrupt politicians who let these human rights violations to occur for the last 11 years.
