God bless the heart of our Freind hajj Ali Fayz!
I know hajj Ali Fayz since my arrival in Michigan 31 years. Faithful, honorable, generous and active.
He called me to attend a small meeting of friendly discussion, reflecting on our past challenges and moving forward for a better and brighter future.
We spent about 2 hours of talking from hearts to hearts. One of the areas of our conversation was the history of Islamic Center of America and the vision and sacrifices of its founding imam, late shaikh Cherri(rahemahollah)
My dear friends Sayyed Hasan Qazwini and Shaikh Ahmad Hamoud, hajj Ali Saad, hajj Ali Fayz and I, shared our past experiences at the ICOA and concluded that considering the tsunami of cultural wars threatening the spiritual identity of our families and in particular our youth, we must unify our efforts, work together and supporting one another in serving our faith, community and country.
Hopefully next step would be more interaction with other local Islamic institutes, their imams and directors and arranging more communications for the sake of more service which is the core of our mission and the purpose of our call!
I personally not only forgive those who might have hurt me in the past, but also try to forget the past unhappy memories and I wish my friends do the same. Forgiving is not enough, sometimes forgetting is needed too!
None of us is perfect and infallible and that’s why we all need our Lord’s grace and guidance!
Again thanking both hajj Ali’s and samahat Alsayyed wa Alshaikh for opening their hearts to bring more healing to our neighbors and nation!
