Unity in Muslim Community. Shia-Sunni Stay United against extremism and violence! 9/28/22

During his panel presentation at the mecca mosque in Canton imam Elahi stated that unity among the Muslims is a heavenly Quranic Commandment.

He called the religious sectarianism a sickness.

Talking on hateful Takfiri groups such as isis and it’s affiliated criminal cults, the imam called them not only anti- Shia but anti- Sunnis who disagree with their evil mentality, ideology and cruelty , they are against any rationality and civilization.

Imam Elahi also referred to sectarian conflicts among Jews, Christians and other faith traditions!

He reflected on some of his interesting memories with late imam Cherri on this subject and stated that though extremism exists in both religious and political world but it’s an honor that no Shia person ever used a suicidal bombing in any Sunni gatherings or group prayer in any Sunni mosque anywhere in the world.

Imam Elahi appreciated the call of other panelists including imam Daoud Walid, imam Mathew Schumann and Sayyed Saleh Qazwini who reflected on continuity of Shia-Sunni dialogue and emphasized on the responsibility of Muslim scholars to get out of their comfort zones, speak up and take responsibility in this messy, chaotic and wild world, in need of guidance, direction and devotion.
