Interfaith Breakfast at IHW
On the occasion of MLK’s Day and New Year a group of representatives from different Abrahamic Faith Traditions broke bread and shared their institutions perspectives on communities current issues!
Imam Elahi called the meeting agenda, strengthening the bridges of friendship and understanding among the followers of our diverse cultures and traditions!
Imam quoted “ : if you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together”
We have a long way to go and we need to work together!
Referring to the calamities all over the planet from warmongering, extremism and violence, the imam concluded that the spiritual shepherds of this world are called to promote peace, love and friendship and not fighting and bloodshed.
He quoted a Hadith from prophet Mohammad (pbuh) that friendship is an order of both faith and human faculty!

The religious leaders agreed to continue these kind of meetings to address the communities pressing problems including: mental health, drugs, mass shootings and gun violence, suicide, crimes, hatred, racism, extremism and misinformation!
