Happy Month of Rajab!

The month of Rajab is called the Month of God. It’s a sacred season for more spiritual connection. Fasting even three days in this month, extra prayers, acts of charity, asking the Lord and His servants for forgiveness, and recitation of the Holy Quran in Rajab, open all windows of virtues, great rewards and blessings.

IHW is encouraging the faithful brothers and sisters to fast every Thursday during this month and join us at the mosque for the next 4 Thursday evenings to break our fast and prayer together.

Please fast this Thursday Jan 26 and join us at 6 pm at IHW to break our fast and pray together. This would be a potluck iftar, appreciate if you can share a dish, to receive more rewards and to strengthen the spirit of our friendship and fellowship!

‎عن سماعة بن مهران ، عن أبي عبدالله ( عليه السلام ) قال : قال رسول الله ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم ) : من صام ثلاثة أيام من رجب كتب الله له بكل يوم صيام سنة ، ومن صام سبعة أيام من رجب غلقت عنه سبعة أبواب النار ، ومن صام ثمانية أيام فتحت له أبواب الجنة الثمانية ، ومن صام خمسة عشر يوما حاسبه الله حسابا يسيرا ، ومن صام رجبا كله كتب الله له رضوانه ، ومن كتب الله له رضوانه لم يعذبه .
