Lebanese Consul General Dr. Bilal Qabalan Congratulated IHW and the faithful community on the Eid of Fitr!

Imam Elahi welcomed Dr. Qabalan at IHW reception hall and appreciated his visitation and his sincere Eid wishes.

In an hour of cordially conversation the Consul General shared his observations of the community’s developments during his past and present mission in Michigan.

The developments included demographic, cultural, religious, and political.

The Consul expressed his interest and willingness to increase his interactions with the community’s youth and share his personal and diplomatic experiences with the new generations.

Imam Elahi welcomed the idea and asked a member of the board to coordinate some meetings with the Youth of Wisdom.

Imam also presented Dr. Qabalan with a book under “ The Covenants of the Prophet Mohammad with the Christians of the World”

The prophet (pbuh) from his small city of Medina wrote many letters to the world leaders of his time, explaining the nature of his mission and inviting them to the path of truth

Imam reflected on the importance of the dialogue and friendly interactions both at the community and the world levels.

Imam Elahi expressed his hope that the diplomatic developments in the Middle East help some healing in Lebanon’s politics and economy.

Imam appreciated the statement of Dr. Bilal on the present loneliness crisis despite of the global smart digital developments and said the modern method of communication has facilitated virtual visits which helped connection during the pandemic period but it would be very disconnecting in normal times.

While the world is suffering under the warmongers’ greed and appetite for power and domination, the wisdom of benevolent people is the way out of this global mess.

To that end, let’s promote love, humility and friendship.
