Hussein (as) light of guidance and gate of salvation!

Message of Imam Hussein(as) call for freedom and justice was shared at the interfaith picnic at Palmer Park!

I was blessed to be able to spend some time at our interfaith picnic in Detroit after attending the Ashura March in Dearborn yesterday.

Since Imam Hussein call was universal, we shouldn’t discuss it only in our mosques!

When I took the podium for a few minutes during the picnic yesterday, I spoke about the philosophy of Ashura annual observations and the sacrifice of the prophet’s (pbuh) family for the sake of freedom, justice and human unity and solidarity.

The reaction and comments of interfaith leaders to my heart to heart words, was so encouraging.

That opened a friendly discussion with our partners after my short remarks.
