City, Community And Culture- Meet and Greet! First Friday of Ramadan, First ever inititive of Dearborn Heights Administration.

Honorable Mayor Bill Bazzi, City Council Chair Dave Abdallah, DH Police Chief and some members of his department, Firefighter Department, Treasury, and some managers of other city’s departments visited the imam and members of IHW congregations following the First Friday prayer of this Ramadan.

Mayor Bazzi and the members the city leadership team addressed the faithful and gave brief orientations on the city’s service resources for all the residents regardless of their religious, racial or cultural characteristics. They expressed their passion to hear the community’s concerns, comments and suggestions.

Imam Elahi commended the mayor and the city’s administration for their honorable approach to the spiritual atmosphere of the month of Ramadan and to the Islamic House of Wisdom, as an extremely active instituation with focus on faith, education, justice, outreach, interfaith and actions.

The members of IHW congregation also welcomed the city delegation and expressed their appreciation in their personal conversations following the Friday prayer.

Ramadan a month of grateful relationship with both the Lord and world.
